| Henk Kuiper maakt minimalistische beelden. Hij haalt bestaande objecten (gebouwen of personen) uit hun context, isoleert hen uit de bestaande omgeving en plaatst hen in een 'leeg' of vervreemdend decor, waardoor een nieuwe, minimalistische 'werkelijkheid' ontstaat. | ||||
| • Is het onderwerp van de foto een gebouw, dan fotografeert Henk Kuiper alleen een karakterestiek fragment van het gebouw, vaak dominant, (uitver)groot, krachtig afgebeeld en centraal gepositioneerd, en plaatst dit tegen een contrasterende achtergrond, bestaande uit lucht en wolken (minimalistische foto's). | ||||
| • Is het onderwerp van de foto een persoon (of dier), dan fotografeert Henk Kuiper de persoon vaak klein, onherkenbaar, anoniem, bescheiden en marginaal gepositioneerd, en plaatst hem tegen een contrastereende achtergrond, bestaande uit een zoveel mogelijk uniform patroon en gelijksoortige kleuren ( foto's). | ||||
